I have 210RD-100 with 6L6GC tubes. Are Sovtek 6L6WXT suitable for replacice them? How about them being matched, is it necessary? -wiltsu | ||

It is required they be matched but honestly, The moose and squirrel versions are the last ones I would use. They sound brittle and harsh to me and their life span is pretty short. I've NEVER had good luck with them. Try finding some Flying C(old Svetlana-not the crap they sell with the Svetlana name on it which is sovtek relables) or JJ. I use the JJ but they are both fine tubes in 6L6. In EL type tubes, the JJ's win with my MM amps. Mike. |
