You may have seen me with some of my troubles with a 210-130HD that is acting funky. I'm considering ripping out the driver board and replacing it with a working 12AX7 style one. Does anybody have one lying around?

You have NO idea what that involves. First off, the amp is driven differently with the 12ax7 than the SS driver. Signal goes in along with bias voltage on the control grid. In the SS version, they are cathode driven. I have converted one from tube TO SS and and it never really worked right. There are something like 40-50 steps to convert to SS from tube so it's not plug and play. If you're REALLY, interested, I could scan the instructions that came FROM MM originally to convert it but believe me, it's NOT worth it. By the way though, after I lost the original driver board, I built mine from scratch. Here's the one I built. Pardon the sawdust-it's in the shop and the shop gets used for a LOT of projects! Mike
