yesterday I stumbled across musicmanamps.com - very pleased to know there are other MM lovers out there. But I didn't have time to brag about my RD100 head, since I had to go to rehearsal...
(I wanted to boast abvout the 400 gigs I did with it, without it ever letting me down -blew my marshall and fender amps several times over that same period)
Anyway, I plugged in and gave it a powerchord to chew on - it came alive with that faithfull roar. But tehn it died on me, instantly.
It only gives a very distant distorted rumble in the backgroud, in both inputs and the 100mv line in...
What could be the matter? anyone got a clue?
regards,
Peer from the Netherlands

I could be almost anything from a shorted output tube to a blown output transformer to a bad I.C. in the preamp.

It might be dangerous to the continued health of the amp if apply power to it. If you do not regulary do your own electronic repairs I would strongly suggest taking it to a repair technician.
