There is a guy named Terry Loose who advertises in Vintage Guitar magazine about doing Music Man amp repair. Does anyone know anything about him? Thanks.

HI--Doug What would you like to know? Can I fix your amp? If I can`t nobody can!

He's done some work for me (RD100)...rather quick, affordable, and even returned the replaced parts...the amp is my main studio amp and makes many stage appearances...

Highly recommended. (Terry...you remember that trainwreck of an RD100 I sent to you?)

Ken It's good to hear from you in Texas, and I am glad that the RD is still making good music. I know those Fender guys are jealous!! Terry

Terry, am thinking about sending my Music Man to you. Would like to know for sure that you could accept it. Can I speak to you by phone or email? Thanks, Dennis G.

Terry rebuilt my HD130 with new capacitors and re-biased new EH6CA7 tubes...he even resoldered some old resistors plus returned old parts quickly. The tone and volume are OUTSTANDING! Give this man your business! R. Ridgeway

The guy is a Music Man guru and an all around pleasure to do business with. I would not trust my Music Man to anyone else!!!

So, folks here on the board have been great giving me pointers to keep my prized MM 410HD-65 running great. As detailed in another thread, I blew a speaker and ordered a replacement pair.

I decided to put one on the bottom left and one on the top right. I was thinking of getting a slightly different sounding speaker for the other two positions.

Once I got the speaker out, I was going to put it back in the box that the new one came in, and I noticed a piece of masking tape.

The masking tape said "Terry Loose".

Small world huh?

I'm from NH. I bought this amp from a player I know and really admire, around 2005. By memory he had bought it from someone around 1999 or 2000. I think I may have been on a gig with him when someone brought it in looking to sell it.

When my friend made the decision to "downsize" his amps, I jumped at the chance to get this. He was under the impression that somebody in ohio who specialized in MM went through it and restored it. It didn't matter to me though, the amp had always sounded great.

Terry, maybe my amp went through your hands at some point?

Anyway, I thought it was worth a mention. You should have seen me racking my brain where I had heard "Terry Loose" before when I found that masking tape!
