I have acquired 3 Stingray I which each is a little different. One is a little under 8 lbs, natural, black pickguard with white pickups, radio type knobs, hardshell case and the preamp works; the second one is 10lbs, darkbrown stain, metal knobs, black pickguard with black pickups and still has the plastic cover for the pickguard, preamp works but no case and the last one is at least 10.5 lbs, natural, white pickguard with white pickups, metal knobs, preamp works but no case. They all play and sound great, but the dark bown one has the lowest action. I've had a Les Paul before but these don't seem to feel as heavy, but I think its a matter of personal taste. I really do like the tone of these guitars. The switch is a bit ackward but I think with practice it will be fine. Does anyone know the time lines of the knob type selection or was it more like what was available at the shop. The 9 volt route for brown one is shallow compared to the natural ones. Too bad there isn't an active MM guitar forum to get more information.

I've noticed that the pickup pole pieces don't exactly are under the strings and I wondered if this is the usual case for most electric guitars. They do all sound great through my MM 210-65 and makes me wonder if most MM guitars sound best with MM amps. If anyone has played the I's and II's side by side I'd like their opinion between the two models.

Well as it turns out the "standard" case does not fit these MM Stingrays. I've been looking around and I don't really want a gig bag or a bass guitar case. Maybe I can pound a plywood together and be done with it. If anyone has found a particular brand that fits these guitars I wouldn't mind knowing. I've checked the Canadian made cases, SKB and gator. It looks the lower bout to be 13.125" and 40" total length. Gator has listed a case for larger guitars but no measurements. Well I guess I can contact Gator or TKL and see if they can make couple for me. The standard cases are slightly not wide or long enough. I don't understand the added size or the weight and the fact that these had neck problems. I know this is an amp site, and the other site which seemed to be guitars seems to be dead, but any help will be appreciated.
