I just scored a MM 2-12 cabinet that does not have the original jack on the back panel. Does anyone have one of these laying around, or will the Fender jacks that are available on amp repair/restoration sites do the trick? Thanks for the help.

If you mean JUST the jack, any quarter inch jack will work. However, I would suggest a heavy duty jack from someone like switchcraft as they take one hell of a beating. There are also dedicated speaker cab jacks that are available that SAY they are heavy duty. Mike.

Jack and plate actually - should have been more specific. There is a working jack now, but it is attached to what looks like a piece of scrap metal (about 1 inch by 3 inches) that is kind of screwed into the cab over the original hole in the cabinet. Not very sturdy and definitely not original! Thanks.

Ouch, sorry. I havn't seen any originals lately. You can always try flebay and look around there but I routinely look for stuff there and don't remember seeing any. I would measure the hole size exactly and look at some of the hardware guys that sell musical hardware like parts express. There are a bunch that I had that have a really good selection but they were on my old computer which has sadly, bit the big one.

Hi Mike - Thanks for the advice. I will check them out. Now, can someone post a pic of the back of one of these cabs (2-12 folded) so I can see what I am looking for? Thanks in advance.
