2 Celestion G12H speakers for HD65 head?

Hi all, I hope this is the right place for this post.

Anyway, I have a HD65 head (I don't know the exact year, but it has a 12ax7 PI tube). I'm getting it re-tubed and re-capped, etc by my local tech (he's worked on my 210 HD130 and knows MM amps). I also have a cabinet from a 50 watt Vox Night Train head with two Celestion G12H speakers wired to 16 ohms. I was thinking of rewiring the cabinet to 4 ohms and using it for the 65 head. However, I see the Celestions are rated at 30 watts power handling each. Will I fry them if I play the amp on full power mode loud?

I also have a 1982 Peavey Classic VTX with the stock Scorpion 12s in it. I could move them to the Vox cab (i know they can handle the power). I would not be looking forward to moving it though. Does anyone have experience with Peavey Scorpions with Music Man amps?

Thanks for reading. This is my first post. I love this site and have learned a lot about these great amps here (I've owned and played MM amps since around 2006 or so)!

I have absolutely NO

I have absolutely NO experience with Peavey Scorpions so I'm no help there. Two 30 watt speakers is pushing your luck. You could do it at low volumes but the math just doesn't add up if you are planning on high volume. I wouldn't do it. Mike.
