Hi;
I have a 115RH. The speaker has a metal dust cap.
The grill screen has never been removed. I'm thinking it might be a JBL. The sound is great.

Recently just picked up another 115 RH. It has an
old Peavey 15" speaker from a PA set - circa mid-1970's. It doesn't sound as good as the other one.

Any suggestions about what to replace the Peavey speaker with? Will use for guitar. Probably a
Fender Bassman 50 watt head.

I've been using Jensen Concerts from the mid 60's
with other amp head combinations and am thinking to try it out in the 115 RH. The Jensens have been my favorite but sicne I checked out the original 115RH, I was blown away how good it sounds.

Doing a little research…
The Peavey speaker is made by Eminence 15828H 15= 15”, 83 = 83 oz magnet , 8 = 8 ohm
67-7818 date code. 78= year 1978 18 = ww.

You could try the Eminence Commonwealth 15, which is modeled after the JBL D130 with a metal dust cap. A cheaper option is the Eminence Legend 151.

If you like the sound of jbl's, try the weber cali's. GREAT speakers. I actually have them in MY 2-10. I would suggest getting the paper dust cap instead of the silver one unless you want it to match.
