Can anyone recommend a darker speaker for my RD112? The treble is set to 0 as well as the the treble on my digitech pedal board, and it is still too crispy. Any suggestions?

Some old mushy celestions would do it. They pretty much suck the highs out of an amp. The only problem is that you have a 65 watt amp and only one speaker so you'd have to get a speaker to take the power. Go look at the weber (tedweber.com) site and look through his speakers. He gives a breakdown of sound and choices. If that doesn't work, call ted-he'll steer you right. Mike.

I would suggest some of the new Eminence speakers. Very reasonable prices too.

Try:
Swamp Thing
Cannibis Rex
The Tonker

Hope this helps, Beau

I just put a Eminence Cannabis Rex in my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe and it sounds amazing. I bet a Tone Tubby would sound even better!

I have a 112 RD 65 with an Eminence Texas Heat speaker, it sounds perfect for this amp. I've tried a V30, too much mids and dull, an Eminence Red White and Blues, the lows were a bit flabby, and EV Force, no bottom, way too sharp. The Eminence Texas Heat has strong lows, good mids and smooth highs.
