If anyone wants to hear some sound clips (MP3) of some MM amps that I have modded please email me goforthsound@yahoo.com and I will send you a clip. I have a RD-50 clip that gets a nice Robben Ford type tone and a HD-130 clip, where the normal channel has been modded to sound like a vintage Bassman/Plexi. The 12AX7 driver has the PI mod that is more stable, wamer, fatter and has better sustain that is a modified version of the the Paul C. mod. I am working on the reverb channel next and the reverb will be available on both channels as a effects loop for the owner. The reverb channel's overdrive will be more versatile going from stock MM tones to more gain Boogie-like tones. These mods were done so that the amp can be returned to stock if the owner ever decides to do so. These guys have been very happy with the mods. I have a clip of Chris Cain playing through an RD-50 that I modded as well. I really like these amps if you did not know :P

thanks
Ed

Here's a crappy take of a HD-130 I was in the refinning stages to get a Marshall Plexi-like tone. Please excuse the sloppy playing since I was adjusting the amp and compression settings on the recorder to keep from red linning, while I was playing haha. I used a Palmer PDI-09 and a Weber Mass for speaker simulation direct. There's more to come, and I will have a final version posted when I'm happy with it.
thanks,
Ed

The RD-50 that Chris was playing here is modded for a rich blues tone.

Nice MM sounds on the pg2 and malibu page...sounds quite a bit like the glassy clear sounds coming from my strat clean through a 210-65, though I gotta work on my playing to match you guys

Hi Chris, Cool! That clip was actually a RD-50 with some mods. It is a bit glassy because of the EVM-12L speaker in the 1-12 cab. It cuts through..... I like the modded RD-50 that Chris Cain played through too, it was with the stock speaker, not a EV. Chris Cain gets such a great tone anyway, but I really like how he sounded on that clip. http://www.monsterspacetoast.com/index.h tml
