Wire's seminal post-punk albums: Pink Flag (1977), Chairs Missing (1978), and 154 (1979); all featured Music Man amps according to producer Mike Thorne. Lots of EH stompboxes as well.

I have a Wire live DVD called "On the Box" from a 1979 german TV show. Both guitarists were using MM amps although it escapes me which models. I'll take a look.

It looks like both guitarists are using 2x12 combos. Probably 212HD-130's. Colin Newman is using a crazy Ovation electic guitar that looks like a white axe with mini humbuckers.
