I bought a MM HD130 Reverb and a few months later I bought a 4x12 cabinet and was told it was music man there are no MM logos on it speakers are not original the grill cloth was torn to shreds but looked like the same style of cloth as on the head the only thing that caught my eye was that there were 2 1/4 jacks and a little metal tag tacked between 2 of the speakers with the number "S13653" is this the real deal or was i snaked on this deal. I only paid 150.00

You could take the back off and see if the speakers are MM.

I have a mint 1978 412 GS cabinet, maybe I could give you some cues. If you rotate the cabinet in a postion so that the two 1/4" input jacks are closest to the head, the handle should be on the right hand side of the cabinet, looking towards the grille. The cabinet originally had two sets of round metal feet, one set should now rest on the floor while the other should be on the left hand side, opposite to the handle.

The back does not come off, that is correct for a 412 MM cabinet. If it is a real MM cabinet, it is a real quality item. Take care not to buy exessively classy speakers for it, the originals were not 300watt EVs. I think it should sound good with Eminence Alpha or Beta speakers, and it wont break your back. High watt speakers are not only expensive, but they may be really heavy as well.

SO I just got one of these things too! Why are there two inputs, how many watts can it handle, I imagine its 4ohms, and is it scary to pull the grill off ????}

Also if anyone has a spare back panel for a hd130 reverb head, I'm in the market!

you heard him! get me a trace! seriously though, even if you email me a trace with the correct scale indicated I'd be much obliged!

And no carl, you don't see em too often! I have a 210hd, and even though the circut is the same as in the head, I couldn't resist!

the grillcloth is on with velcro, not hard to pull out, so you run 6 speakers?

The 412-GS was rated to handle 130 Watts, the front speaker cloth panel comes off to access the speakers.
