I have a 212 HD 130 that I purchased used many years ago. I have not used it much. Serial number is C001842. Anyone know what year it is.

thanks, Jeff

you can date it from the speaker code and whether or not it has the 12ax7 valve.

what is a speaker code...?

am trying to date my 212 HD 130...
also, what does the 'exp' indicate on the chassis number (which mine does not have)

there is not 12ax7 or anything resembling a splitter/shifter (to my untrained eye) on the backside of the amp.

GREAT SITE, so glad to have found it. I love my amp...bought it on a whim 6 years ago knowing VERY little about amps, and have been subsequently thrilled (repeatedly) to own such a cool and great-sounding vintage rig.

My HD-130 212 has a serial nuber of C003909 and has the 12ax7 driver. On the inside of the chassis is 10/4 written in marker.Im assuming it means oct. 74. Hope this helps. Let me know if im assuming right also.
