I have an HD-150 Reverb head and an old Sunn bass cab which I'm currently playing bass through. I've read that the HD-150 is the guitar/bass/keyboard amp, and that the HD-150 Reverb is for guitar. Is there any truth to this? My bass sounds great through it, I'm just curious if the amp was not 'designed' for bass. Thanks!

If the cab will take it, go for it. The front end of a reverb head MAY be voiced a little dif for guitar, but not enough that you'd notice. If yo ucan get the sound that you like, play it. Don't know what reverb would sound like with bass though! Mike.

Thanks! The reverb sounds ok, but I play with it turned off. The phasor effect is pretty cool, though.
