Terry, in another thread you wrote:
"If you have a RD50 with 12 inch speaker then the amp is self biasing"
Is this also true for the RD50 with a 10" speaker?
I have been wanting to put new tubes in it and can't seem to get any direct info about having to rebias it afterwards.

TIA

Brad that is true of all the RD50 amps. If you can get some 7581A Phillips that is a Military 6L6GC. I think you will like them. You can find them on Ebay

Tim, thanks for the info. I will definitely check on E-bay and see what I can find. I just happened to find a matched pair of Phillips 6CA7-EL34,s that I had forgotten about. Too bad they weren't 7581A's They were from a MM65 Bass head that I used to own. I have really loved all the MM amps that I have owned down through the years and wish I still had all of them!
Someone else had told me to try a pair of Electro-Harmonix 6L6GC's. I was told they have a bit more bite than the Sylvania's that are currently in the amp. I really love the tone from them too, just getting old and I want to have some replacements on hand. Thanks again for your advice. This is a really cool site and I am definitely glad I ran across it. Very much appreciated!
