Based on the Schematics, the RD50 was modified several times, especially the limiter channel (which I can understand). I have the oldest of the RD50's with no mods. I'm modifiying my limiter channel to that of the later models, which is quite an improvement. However, there are two mods MM did that I do not understand why. So, anyone know or have any thought why --

1. C47, a 75p cap, was added across the gain pot from the input to center lug? Does this filter out highs?

2. C23, a 50p cap, was switched from connecting to IC-2 at lug 1 to connecting to lug 2?

Any help greatly appreciated!

Without looking at the schematic I would haved to say that you are looking at two mods that were probably put in for stability or RF suppression purposes.

The cap values are too small to make meaningful audio tonal changes.

Thanks. I'll probably leave mine as is then.
