I have a accutronics tank here
"9AB3C1B"
not meant for musicman i believe
however is it worthless?
can i plug it in to the MM and see how she boots?
should i sell it?
should i make a stand alone reverb unit?

Thanks guys.
I presume hassles with using the wrong units in amps has to do with input and output ohms?

cheers
carlo

It isn't absolutely necessary to use EXACTLY the same tank. I have had good success running a variety of models in Music Man amps.

The code letters apply to input and output impedances, grounding, suspension (vertical or horizontal mount), number of springs, etc.

Quite a few combinations are usable, just check it out. I personally have never see a reverb tank experiment hurt the amp circuitry!

Did you plug it in both ways and see if if one way sounded OK? If so then it is either bad or not the right one for your model.

CE Dist and Mojotone both carry it. Check the number on your existing tank. Some early specimens of the RP/RD series with the EL-34 tubes used a different tank.
