RP100 upgrading preamp?

Can you recommend any preamp upgrade options for me? Go to the front page and select schematics. It should lead you there. I would ask what type of tubes you have in it first. When you say 5881's taht leads me to believe they are sovtek which is pretty harsh in itself. Just a thouht but some svets(the real ones) or JJ's might warm it up a little. Mike
