Hi, I've have a Music Man HD130 Reverb amp head with the 12AX7 tube. Last night while playing through my amp, I would get a sudden loss in power/volume for a while, then back to the orginal level. It does this on both high/low power settings, tubes are about three years old but the amp hasn't been used that much, I don't know if the caps have been replaced. Thanks for any help, Dave.

First things first-clean the input jack to make sure it isn't just a signal input loss. Try both channels to see if it's in both if that doesn't do it. If it's in both, that says power section after the coupling caps. Then we'll go from there.

Well Jeez, played last night with no problems at all. I kept waiting for something to happen but the amp sounded great. I'm going to take her to the shop anyway for a look-see, just to be safe. Thanks Mike for your responce, and Steve, thanks for the providing us a great web site.

I'd still clean the input jsck. After sitting for a while, they corrode and can be flaky at best. Mike.
