I have an early mm 210-65. Recently it just went silent while playing it. I replaced the pre-amp tube and both power tubes. Still no sound. All three tubes are glowing. Need help.

Did you check the speakers and their connections? Did you try to drive an external cabinet? Did you toggle the 4-ohm/8-0hm impedance switch back and forth? Are you sure the amp is not in standby mode?

If you lost high voltage there would be no sound and the same thing would happen if the output transformer opened or shorted. The same thing happens when your standby switch fails and sticks in the standby mode!

In any event, if the speakers work and the wiring is proven good with an ohmmeter, then the high voltage will have to be measured and the amp will probably have to go through some standard amplifier troubleshooting by a technician.

Steve

Also as an add on to what Steve said, did you try both channels? You could have lost one channel and the other is OK. Did it get weak and then go out or just quit? All three tubes glowing at least means that the filament voltage is getting though to the tubes. One broken wire/bad solder joint can cause a lot of hell. If these don't work, check back and someone will try to help. Mike

Mike: You are not the first one to pull that stunt. I had to go into admin mode to fix my mistakes!

Speakers are good, not in standby, both channels are out. Flipped the 4-8 ohm switch around. Guess it's time to find a tech. Know of a good one in the Atlanta area? thanks for all the input.
