Need help finding a part for a RD112/65 or The 100 would be the same. The board is a GD-1 early model 11/15/78, with 6CA7/EL34 tubes serial #DN00830. It has a full plate in the back, not a two piece. Bottm right corner has a #BP1800DOM2. Now I need your help in finding what the black box, in the middle of the circuit board is, by the reverb plugs. It is 1 inch by 1&1/8 the top is gone off this one. I have not seen one with this type of board with this box. HELP!

If I had a 112RD-65 I'd open it up but I don't so I can't.

Is the black box the relay that this model (probably RY-1) uses to switch in the distortion channel?

If so, it appears to be a DPDT relay with a 12Vdc coil (based on the first RD65 GD-1 schematic). Since it is the only model to use this part I am assuming that's what it is.

If you can't get a number for this part you might cruise the relay specs on DigiKey or Mousers site (or catalog) and look for a similar footprint.

Failing that, you could substitute a good quality 12Vdc DPDT relay, RTV it (upside down) the PC board and loop wires down to the PCB connections.

Let me know if you need a relay for this purpose... we use some here at work that would work just fine.

BTW.. thanks for your active participation in helping all the other guys here! It is appreciated!
