What is the "intensity" knob meant to do? On my newly bought mm it just makes the sound to go up and down in a scary way if I dont turn it down completly. I suppose this is not what it is meant to do so I would appriciate if any of you guys could tell me a: what it's for, and b: what might be wrong with mine?

I think the intensity works with the speed control when you use the tremolo efect.

That's it? I need the pedal to use it? Else it's useless?

Darn, my HD-130 came without the pedal so I guess the intensity will stay on 0. :-)

Intensity and Speed are for the Tremelo circuit. If you don't have a footswitch you can't turn Tremelo or Reverb off so the controls should set to "0" unless you want to use the effect.

Any standard dual footswitch with RCA plugs (as those used on most of the blackface and silver-face Fenders) will work.
