Hello,

Sadly one of my valves smashed in transit the other day and I am looking for replacements for the first time since owning it. I have read that some MM amps are self biasing, I know with all previous amps I have had them re-biased whenever changing the tubes, however I wanted to know

a) are the MM 210 RD One hundred amps self biasing

and

b) if so does this mean providing I replacing with the same type (matching pair) I don't need to get the amp re-biased?

Many thanks for your help!

No---amp has to be "biased" but the system is pretty forgiving. Get a set of tubes that are "matched" and follow the "bias" instructions for the SS driver amps. Mike
