Been reading through the threads, but wondered if anyone had the time to do a summary on tube tone flavors. There's talk about EH, JJ, Sovteks and such. Given the fact that most or all new tubes are made overseas, but do each tube sound. Soon the NOS tubes will be gone. Or rather is there a blog someplace that covers this topic. Kind of get an idea of how Music Man's tend to sound with a certain tube. I know this will be to each personal taste, and maybe this shoud be titled "Talk about your favorite Tube". | ||

One issue that may have the most to do with tube choice in Music Mans is finding tubes that handle high voltages. I've noticed people here like the JJ E34L for their ability to handle the voltages that MM amps put out. |
