I've got 3 MMs -- a 210 HD, a 112-65 and a 410-65 (all with the PI tube). The tubes in the 210 and 112 are getting microphonic.

I'd appreciate it much if the MM brethren would suggest the best replacement tubes and/or gizmos to lessen tube rattle.

Last time I checked, everybody loved JJ EL34s and 12AX7s. Any reason to change to something else?

Thanks,
WJ

I hear that the JJ's are great, and I have a pair of Svetlana winged "C"'s in my HD-65 212 and their sweet, but I recently put 2 sets of Svetlana 6L6's in my D*mble clone and have had two one in each set loose vacuum and turn white. I have checked everything out and I have a feeling I got a bad batch possibly. So next time its JJ's to try. The GT12AX7 and the new Tung-Sol 12AX7 sounds good in the HD driver section.
