Is there a modern higher quality Op amp chip with the same pinout as the LM1458?

There are probably quite a few op-amps that would make a good replacement for the LM1458. The following come to mind (but I haven't tried these myself in a Music Man circuit):

National LF442
JRC JRC4558 (or any other 4558)

Whether these will improve anything you can hear is unknown. They may be quieter and have lower DC offset than the LM1458.

I am sure there are a ton of others out there...
