Hello,
I'm new in this forum but I think it's great that there's so much information gathered about Music Man instruments and amps in here.

As you might have guessed from my subject I'm from Europe, to be more specific from Austria. I'd love to try out some Music Man amps but somehow nobody can give me information about music stores that sell them permanently somewhere close to my home.(I only saw one once in a store in Graz but it was in horrible condition so I didn't try it out)
Is someone in here also from central Europe and can help me find dealers?

Thanks a lot...

Well, since they haven't MADE any Music Man amps since the 1980's, you won't find any dealers, per se. You will have to deal with someone who gets in vintage equipment or look online with the ebay type folks. I don't remember the exact date that they went out but MM has been out of business since the 80's. Ernie Ball is producing a line of the basses and guitars(I think) but they are, of course, not built by the old MM company. They even have some knock offs that I think they call OLP(which I assume is short for officailly licensed product) that I have seen about but they are lower end, I believe. Mike.

Sorry, I guess I didn't put it across quite right.
I'm well aware of the fact that Music Man amps aren't produced anymore. What I wanted to ask for is dealers that get used amps on a regular basis and have some sort of "product range" of music man amps.
I don't know if there's stores like that at all (anywhere), the ones I know only have used amps from time to time.

To those of you who bought an amp in the last few years: Did you order via the internet or did you find it in a store/flea market etc.?
If on the internet: How did you make sure it was in good condition?

Sorry for this amount of questions.

No problem at all. THAT is what the web is here for. I know there are a few places in the US that specialize in Vintage gear but you REALLY get the highest prices out of them. I usually haunt bulletin boards like weber, gearslutz, the gear page and a few others looking for stuff. Bought my bassman head off of a guy in michegan or some place like that from the weber board. I was looking for a player, NOT a collector so I got it reasonabley low. Ebay is a good place to look but you have to be careful and play THAT game. High feedbacks, don't get sparrow fever(pull the trigger too quick) and ASK QUESTIONS. I've had very good luck with ebay but if it looks the least bit hinky, I pass. There WILL be another one. There are a couple of places near St louis that deal a lot in vintage stuff. I think one is Silver Strings. Can't remember the other but since you are in Europe, that doen't do YOU any good.

Mike is right, the internet is the best bargain for the buck.If it's in a store you are paying top retail for the amp,not that they are not worth it.It's just you'll probably find the same amp on ebay for half ,and have a way better guarantee policy .
