Has anyone see, read or do you own Book 3 - Tube Guitar Amplifier Essentials and the new DVD (Tube Guitar Amplifier Servicing and Overhaul)?
I'm intrested in buying the set. Please let me know your experiences.

Have read Weber's new and older written material. No DVD's. Gotta get the hands dirty...

Pretty good stuff, but somewhat brand specific.
Some interesting anecdotes, and some uninteresting ego/advertising.

Even if you know some of this stuff, it's valuable
to review it from a different perspective.

Attended tube amp seminar last year (not the amp camp). I didn't get much out of that, and it was way too expensive for what it was.

As "RCA Institute" is no more, Mr. Weber, et al,
is as close as we're gonna get to a thermionics
professor.

IMHO, cover your pockets...

I have the new DVD and book. It took them 6 weeks to get it to me.
The dvd is pretty dry. You can get some pointers from it but if you have ever repaired anything electronic in the past you will know most of the stuff already.
The book is a bit better, though it is a compilation of old material and does repeat topics several times.
The trouble shooting (Q and A)part of the boook is pretty good.
If you don't have an extensive library or just starting out it is probably worth the investment.
