I bought a 112 sixtyfive with reverb and trem Old style with 12ax7 pi, quite nice condition but well used, or so I thought. Guy said it had been modded.
I saw the great hulking PT and thought ok changed over to 240 volts (Australia) only one channel worked and no trem, Intensity and speed altered to some higher gain controls. I thought ok Ive got a spare MM export PT I'll mod it back. Once home and out of its case I see 3 extra preamp tubes and completely different circuit boards. Also it has channel switching with a newer style MM footswitch with led + has a FX loop with vol control. All wiring done professionally and nicely layed out albeit in cramped space (the 3 extra preamps are crowded together). The clean channel is nice and MM clean and I didn’t like the OD channel much at the time but can be tweaked to some nice singing/growling. Now I’m thinking to hard to get back to original and will have to do a circuit trace and try to lift the highs on od channel mmm not sure what to do/think. Anyone seen anything like this?
ps merry xmas
