Here's one that has a little heavier gain (RD-50).

THE PREVIOUS SITE NO LONGER HAS THE mp3 CLIPS!

Heres the page that has some of my mp3 files with RD-50 mods, Chris Cain, Pretty Woman, Jeff Beck etc. For those who are interested in what the mods sound like, some are direct recordings using my Palmer PDI-09 line level speaker sim and Weber MASS for a output load to be used for line level, for direct recoding. This gives more of what the is coming from the amp, where your speaker of choice will provide any added color you want. I find that the recordings usinf the MASS, and Palmer give me very close to what my vintage EV SRO Alnico 12" sounds like.

For those who may be interested, I have been in the process of building an amp that has some of the best design ideas from the HD-65/130 and RD-50 and combine them with some of my mods with a channel switching circuit, that goes from the Classic Musicman tone to my modded Musicman tones with better, more usable features and improved tone. Any input or suggestions are welcome.

Musicman amps have lasted for quite some time! With some refinements these amps can sound better or rival most boutique amps of today! I know this because I have have built different Boutique style amps myself, from Tweed Deluxes*, Mesa Mark I*(this amp can be heard on this page under "Boogie Princeton"*), vintage Marshall* tone that goes from a Fender Bassman clean to siging overdrive from the guitars volume control with the special master volume design that does not sound fizzy like most master volumes do when in lower settings, the Dumble Overdrive Special* for that Larry Carlton, Robben Ford or Carlos Santana type tone. I get Musicman amps regularly with the original tubes, that are still running strong! Amazing for amps that old!
Thanks
Ed :-)

I'll check out your link as soon as I have a moment! I appreciate that you updated the info! Far too many people (like me?) never do a return visit to a site we have posted a link on unless prompted to do so.

Of course, when I post something I always refer to a link on my own server so I know it doesn't change without my knowledge.

Thanks,

Steve

Some clips may sound a little fizzy due to transfer rates of the mp3's, if you want a better clip, email me and I will send it to you.
