Hi, I am trying to connect pedals vai the insert jacks on my 112RP65
I have a standard insert cable . When I use an effect pedal (A tremelo in this case) the volume in the amp lowers significantly and sounds slightly distorted when I turn the effect on. I have tried both the insert sockets.
Is this common? or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks
Brodie

those jacks are stereo ,but wired as send and return,so you must use a TRS cable and run the effect in a loop ..

First thing that comes to mind is corrosion on the input?output jack from lack of use. Try some deoxit on the jack first and maybe some in and out action with it or even open it up and scrape the contact points. Is that the only pedal you have tried? AND is that the only CABLE you have tried?

Thanks Mike, I will try cleaning it up a bit, yes it is the only pedal I have tried ( I will try another) and the cable is new with neutrik ends so should be okay I guess .

Well, also the reason I suggested the TRS cable the ends are clearly marked Tip,Ring,or Sleave.I can't tell if the one you have is marked in this way it does make a huge difference.

Unless these ends are marked ring and tip I'm not sure how you know which way to go and it does matter .If it doesn't work one way try the other it may just work
