Someone wrote at Harmony central that the wood was Swamp Ash...Cool I fixed the volume knob...I took the control panel off and looked at it...the pot had a little space in it with a thin sheet of metal..it looked a loose so I pressed it together, gave it the magic blow and wola..it works...the guitar worked fine without it though...My pickup pole pieces are looking a little corroded..should I fine wool them? same thing with the machine heads...Another cool thing I found out was you can plug headphones into the guitar and play...I'm liking this guitar alot more than I used to...I can get a nice "strat" tone or a beefy"strat" tone...I keep the bass knob around 2-3 and treble 5-6....bright switch is usually off unless I'm using the humbuckers...the pickups are super powerfull so I have to keep them positioned lower...just a bit higher than the pickguard...heres another pic.

Hi I'm back! Well for some reason I want to sand down my black MM stingrayII guitar to its natural color. Am I crazy? Black on black isint doing it for me anymore...I was also thinking of trying to get rid of the wide girth of this guitar...its damm heavy...after an hour playing I need a rest..I really like the yellow MM uses on some of they guitars...what color is it? oh ya I did by accident drop this guitar on its side and made some nasty chips..just on the side though...I covered them with electrician tape..it looks fine...is anyone interested in buying (trade)a stingrayII? I got it from a famous Canadian rock star..ok bye for now...Colin

I have a Musicman Stingray II guitar. It's preamp is broken. It is called PC board G-1-A.
I contacted Ernie Ball, but they don't do "pre musicman"things, as they call it.

I am looking for a diagram or scheme of this internal pre amp.

Can anyone help me?

Okay! I've a Stingray I and have found another Stingray I. I would like to change the neck with a 7.25 radius neck. Has anybody done this and if you have where is you find the neck. Or, would it be better to try and find a Stingray II??
