Can't find a thread that helps so I figured I would start one. My 410-65 has no verb, I get the boing when I hit the tank. I have no footswitch. I could turn the reverb knob all the way up and get no response. Any ideas? |

Tells me either IC5 has taken a dump, is dirty in the socket or the input part of the tank is shot, requiring a tank. Or w ire broken from wiper of the treble control, or C19 is bad. But probably the tank is junk. Mike. |

Thanks Mike, any way of testing it? Visually- black and green wires are connected, springs good jacks are all connected, made sure they were not reversed. In a perfect world replacing the tank would be fine with me,I would just like to test it and be sure. |

THe chart says the front end impedance is 1475ohm and the output is 2250 so you should be able to read a RESISTANCE of two high readings on each end with them disconnected from the amp. They are basically just a coil so an open coil on the front end is what I am expecting. THey are pretty fragile. |

That's the problem, looks good visually but dead when I put it on a tester. Thank You. My only other question is which way should I go for a replacement? 4fb3a1b Accu is a little hard to find .I think I did see a place I could special order one to be built by Accu for around $40. Or should I try a MOD or MOJO or Revisit Reverb? |

http://www.tubesandmore.com/products/P-R MOD-4FB3A1B I have used the mod tanks, and think they sound more like an Accutronics, that the new Korean one's do. |

Quite often you can repair the open coil as they tend to break close to the end where they terminate. Because the wire is covered in laquer you may not be able to see where the break is unless you use a bright light, a magnifying glass and poke at the wire with, say, the end of a pencil. If you find where it's broken, you can carefully unwind a turn or two (this won't mean anything to sound) and re-attach to the RCA socket. The MOD tanks are fine if you want a replacement part and aren't worried about 100% originalilty. Cheers, Lars Verholt |
