I have just been informed in a French Forum some way to control overdriving/distortion on a twin reverb that is welknown in the US. Just put a bypass between the two sockets of the reverb unit chassis plugs, and control overdriving/ distortion with reverb pot !!! Anyone trired that on twin ? And what about same thing on a MM amp ? still that should be transitor/OA overdriving or could that drive the tubes easier ? |

I guess you haven't gotten any response from this because the front ends on the MM amps are SS so overdriving them doesn't really sound that good. I'm just guessing but I've never really looked into it. Mike. |

Sounds like a lot of work, You would probably get better results by using a good OD pedal anyway. |

Thank's for the responses. The question is more for the twin than the MM, I know its not a fender forum but just in case of somebody do that on MM. I got a overdrive already, it is just curiosity. For the twin, advantage is to get nice distortion at low volume... For MM its transitor preamp so maybe not so interresting |
